Spider-Man: Brand New Day is around the corner, but if you haven’t had the chance to check out Tom Holland’s take on Spider-Man, you’re in luck: Holland’s entire Spider-Man trilogy is now available to stream on Disney Plus. The streaming service previously offered the first two entries, but as of April 15, Spider-Man No Way Home is available as well.
The trilogy, consisting of Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), follows Peter Parker on his journey from being recruited into the Avengers to becoming a unique superhero in his own right. Holland is joined by Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned. Several other characters from related Marvel films, such as Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, and Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America, make appearances throughout the trilogy.
Homecoming was Holland’s first foray as Spidey. It was an entry Polygon described as “feeling a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe more than any of Marvel’s television projects organically,” while also capturing the heart and spirit that make a Spider-Man movie great. No wonder Homecoming was considered our superhero movie of 2017.
Coming off the back of Avengers: Endgame, Far From Home had Peter Parker dealing with Tony Stark being snapped out of existence and Captain America vanishing from the face of the Earth. Despite the doom and gloom, Polygon’s review described the film as “the breeziest spectacle of the summer” and a monumental Spider-Man movie. It also thrusts Peter into far more responsibility than he’s ready to handle, and the result is electric.
Last but not least is No Way Home. If you thought things were serious for Peter before, this web is about to get even messier. The film walks a fine line between fan service and a satisfying story, but it’s no less enjoyable a film than its predecessors.
From incredible visuals to heartfelt yet grounded humor and well-rounded characters, there’s a lot to love when it comes to Holland’s take on Spider-Man. Now you can enjoy his trilogy from the comfort of your own home
