Teamfight Tactics Set 17, also known as Space Gods, is going live on Wednesday, April 15 with patch 17.1.
Set 17 takes TFT back to space, but this time, you’ll encounter the Gods, and they’re searching for a few more followers. You’ll be able to gain their favor mid-stage in the Realm of the Gods, which has taken over the carousel. No more will you have to fight for components with other players. Now, you’ll be able to choose your rewards.
Here’s when Teamfight Tactics Set 17 releases in your time zone and what to expect in Space Gods.
What time does TFT Set 17 release in your time zone?
Teamfight Tactics Set 17 will go live on Wednesday, April 15 on your local server. As the Oceania server is the earliest time zone, they’ll be receiving the patch first, while the North America servers will have to wait for a bit. If you’re dying to play early, you’re free to make an Oceania account and play with a ping disadvantage.
Below, we’ve listed the expected release time for the NA, EUW, EUNE, and OCE servers, based off of the release time of previous sets and League of Legends‘ update cadence:
- NA — 7 a.m. PDT/10 a.m. EDT for North America
- EUW — 9 a.m. BST/10 a.m. CEST for the U.K. and western Europe respectively
- EUNE — 8 a.m. EEST for eastern Europe
- OCE — 10 a.m. AEST for the east coast of Australia
However, the maintenance period can vary from time to time, so the servers could be up before or later than the times listed above.
What to expect in TFT Set 17
In TFT Set 17, you’ll be heading to space where you’ll meet mechs, stargazers, meeples, and even the Gods themselves. The main mechanic is the Realm of the Gods, which functions similarly to an armory from previous sets. Instead of the carousel, you’ll enter the Realm of the Gods, and you’ll choose between two Gods. Each God will offer you a buff and an item. The buffs can range from boosts for your units, gold, experience, items, and more. After you make your choice, Pengu will give you another choice between three champions and varying amounts of gold. The same Gods will return in Stage 3 and 4. If you align with a God at least twice, you’ll gain their respective Boon in Stage 4-7 along with some items and/or gold.
As the carousel is gone, there are a few more subtle changes as a result. Low health players no longer have first pick on items, but instead, they’ll receive better rewards on creep rounds and Pengu will offer you higher-cost champions.
